\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Electronic Advance Information (EPI) for customs authorities has been mandatory since June 2012.<\/span> This requirement is based on Decision No. 899 of the Customs Union Commission, \u201cOn the introduction of mandatory advance information on goods imported into the customs territory of the Customs Union by road transport.\u201d<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0A notification containing detailed information about the shipment and the goods being imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)<\/span> must be submitted to the customs authorities in advance, at least 2 hours before arrival<\/span>.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0As confirmation, customs assigns the application an identification number for the transportation<\/span>.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0This rule was introduced to simplify customs clearance and customs control procedures, as well as to increase the throughput capacity of checkpoints at the State Border of the Russian Federation.<\/p>
