Issuance of an Electronic Transit Declaration for Transportation Across the Territory of the Russian Federation
Since March 2017, international road freight carriers transporting foreign goods across the territory of the Russian Federation have been required to submit transit declarations only in electronic form. From that moment, Order No. 144n of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation came into force, approving the procedure for the use of the Unified Automated Information System of the customs authorities in customs control, customs declaration, and release or refusal of release of goods placed under the customs transit procedure in electronic form.
An electronic transit declaration is submitted using the electronic signature of a customs representative.
